Agua Caliente General Store

Popsicle Oasis
The Agua Caliente Springs General Store used to be a run-down campground store on a lonely stretch of Highway 78 in the Anza Borrego Desert. But with a fresh business plan and a complete renovation, it has transformed into a must-visit café. Weekend trekkers now go out of their way to stop by and experience it.

New lodge
The original camp store had those classic National Park Lodge vibes. The renovation has brightened the space, giving it a lighter, airier feel while still honoring the building's rustic roots. The design features motifs inspired by local indigenous petroglyphs and art.
A Cool Place to Hang
The building's exterior now boasts a shady wrap-around porch that invites guests to linger over their ice cream treats. Extra windows have been added to maximize natural light inside. Plus, a vibrant mural by a local artist showcases the blooms that appear during the annual super blooms.
